Dr. Ajay mathur is Head of Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi and Director, Dental Department at S L Raheja Hospital (A Fortis Associate), Mahim, Mumbai. Dr. Ajay mathur earned his bachelor of dental surgery degree from mumbai in first class in 2008. Dr ajay then completed his masters in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics and was a topper in his batch. His master thesis was selected for the mds thesis grant by indian council of medical research (icmr), min of health, indian govt. Post completion of his masters, dr ajay travelled to usa for his higher studies and conducted research on stability implants in mandible and maxilla bone at uconn, usa. Dr ajay has also received numerous awards and accolades. He received best clinic research award from dci president for his research on bone quality and implant stability at 8th asia pacific orthodontic conference. American orthodontics, wisconsin, usa had given him a special grant for his research on implants and class ii correctors. Dr ajay has a strong industry interface and has authored more than 14 national and international publications and presented several papers in national conferences. His special interests include treatment of complex maxillofacial orthopedics cases including cleft lip and cleft palate.
